Flying squads have been formed to monitor exam centres
The higher secondary State Board examinations will commence on Monday, and 36,661 students are expected to take the examinations in the three educational districts of Madurai, Melur and Usilampatti.
“Forty flying squads have been formed to monitor the exam centres in Madurai educational district, 27 flying squads have been constituted for Melur educational district and 20 for Usilampatti educational district,” District Chief Educational Officer C. Amuthavalli said on Sunday.
The Joint Director, District Educational Officers, Chief Educational Officer and other officials from the School Education Department would also supervise the centres, she added.
“Question papers have already reached the 12 custodian points. They will be transported to the 89 examination centres on Monday morning,” she noted.
Madurai educational district has six custodian points, and Melur and Usilampatti have three custodian points each.
The candidates will take the examinations at 21 centres in 50 schools in Usilampatti educational district, at 27 centres in 93 schools in Melur educational district and at 41 centres in 121 schools in Madurai educational district.
On Monday, the candidates will write Language paper I. After the language papers, examination for the main subjects will start on March 10 with Physics examination, followed by Mathematics on March 14, Chemistry on March 17 and Biology on March 20. The examinations will end on March 25.
