Nithayananda files injunction

Nithyananda has filed an injunction petition at the Principal Sub-Court here seeking to implead Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments (HR and CE) department in an original suit filed by the Madurai Adheenam.

On November 24, Nithyananda had raised objections to the Adheenam’s suit and sought time to file an injunction petition. On Wednesday, his advocates filed the injunction petition stating that the Department of HR and CE should be included as one of the respondents in the Adheenam’s suit.

Madurai Adheenam Arunagirinathar had originally filed the suit seeking directions to the sub-registrar of Madurai South to cancel the deed of a trust he had formed in collaboration with Nithyananda.

Interim prayer

In an interim prayer, he said Nithyananda and his followers should be restrained from entering the mutt.The case has been adjourned to December 7 following Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments department’s request to file a counter affidavit.
