Though the city schools have again achieved centum results this year in the 10th standard CBSE stream, the number of students scoring 10/10 CGPA has dipped, when compared to last year.

The results were announced on Saturday.

Students thronged the school campuses since forenoon. As the marks were rolled out, the students, who were accompanied by their parents, got into a jubilant mood.

Apart from Kendriya Vidyalaya, which has its schools at Narimedu and Thiruparankundram, all the private schools including Mahatma, Adhyapana, Velammal (Anupanadi and Viragnoor unit), Queen Mira and Pandugudi Sri Lakshmi Narayana had achieved centum results.

Many principals who spoke to The Hindu said that the number of students who had taken 10/10 CGPA last year was high, when compared to the results announced today. Over 70 per cent of the children missed the centum by a whisker and finished at 9.8, they also added.
