Six students of Government Law College continued their fast near the college main gate for the second day on Thursday, demanding justice and protection for Sri Lankan Tamils.

They demanded the Indian Government to impose economic sanctions on Sri Lanka. The health condition of two fasting students was deteriorating. Some of the students climbed atop the Tallakulam Head Post Office building and tried to erase the Hindi letters of the name board, to put pressure on the Centre on the Sri Lanka issue.
