‘Kalasam’ found dumped in garbage bin near Jaihindpuram

The police suspect that it could have been stolen from some temple.

A copper ‘kalasam’ used on top of temple towers was found dumped in a garbage bin near Jaihindpuram on Saturday. The Sub-Inspector of Police, Baskar, found the 1.5-foot ‘kalasam’ in the bin on A.R. Road in Sundararajapuram at around 11 a.m. The police suspect that it could have been stolen from some temple. The ‘kalasam’ would be handed over to court.

The police have sought information from people who have knowledge about the ‘kalasam.’ Information could be given over the police control room number 100, or 0452-2671871 or 98424-44002 and 94981-79390.
