August 18, 2016 07:39 am | Updated 07:39 am IST - Thoothukudi:

Currently, all preliminary works related to the establishment of a major commercial Port at Colachel (Enayam) are being dealt by an exclusive cell formed with the employees of V.O. Chidambaranar Port Trust. According to a statement from S. Natarajan, Officer on Special Duty, Colachel (Enayam) Port on Wednesday, the recruitment process for inducting regular or permanent staff for the major transshipment Port at Enayam would begin only after incorporating the Port as a company or a Trust at the time of start of the project. At the same time, the recruitment process would be conducted only by the Port authority after following government recruitment guidelines by way of newspaper advertisements and publicity through website. Hence, the Port wants to caution the public not to get cheated by touts and agents, who are in no way connected with a government Port. So, the public are advised not to enrol with any recruitment agency or persons who promise people placements in the transshipment Port at Enayam.
