Teachers with self-confidence alone have the capability to mould students into better human beings, Vice-Chancellor of the Tamil Nadu Teacher Education University (TNTEU) G. Visvanathan has said.
Addressing graduates at the second graduation day at the TVS Teacher Training Academy, Mr. Visvanathan urged the graduates to inculcate moral values in the students.
“Teachers should not just concentrate on completing the syllabus. A good teacher’s success lies in making a student good citizen of the world and in enriching his knowledge in all aspects to face competition.” Mr. Visvanathan expressed concern over the increase in the dropout ratio of students in school.
“A developed nation is the one that has hundred per cent education. To make India a developed nation, the young graduates should work to implement government policies in the best way possible,” he said.
Nearly 120 graduates from various disciplines such as English, Tamil, Maths, Physical Science and Biological Science from 2011-2012 batch were awarded degrees.
R. Srinivasan, secretary of TVS Schools, M. Usha Rani, principal of TVS Teacher Training Academy, and the executive committee members of the Lakshmi Vidya Sangham were present.
