IGNOU study centre set up at Government Law College in Madurai

Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has established a new study centre at Government Law College here for offering its Law programmes from the July 2014 session.

A press release from S. Mohanan, Regional Director of IGNOU, said that the programmes such as Post Graduate Certificate in Cyber Law, Certificate in Anti-Human Trafficking and Certificate in Consumer Protection would be offered from the new study centre.

These law programmes will be beneficial to the regular LLB students of the law college, especially those pursuing fourth and fifth year law programmes offered by IGNOU, added the release.

Lawyers, magistrates, judges and police personnel also could enrol in the programme to acquire competency in law-related issues.

The admissions to the July 2014 session at IGNOU is open now and the prospectus containing application can be obtained from IGNOU Regional Centre, Sikkandar Chavadi, Alanganallur Road, Madurai 625 018.

The last date to apply without late fee is June 20, and with a late fee of Rs. 300 is July 31.
