IGNOU invites applications

MADURAI

The Indira Gandhi National Open University has invited online applications for its 220 courses across disciplines and at different graduate levels for its July 2018 session.

S. Mohanan, Regional Director, in a press statement, said the programmes ranging from awareness, appreciation, certificate, diploma, postgraduate diploma, bachelors and masters degree.

The regional centre in Madurai caters to 16 districts, including Coimbatore, Dindigul, Erode, Karur, The Nilgiris, Pudukkottai, Ramanathapuram, Sivaganga, Thanjavur, Tiruvarur, Theni, Tiruchi, Tirupur, Virudhunagar and Ariyalur.

Students from the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe community can avail fee exemptions in all but PG programmes. Students from backgrounds, including army veterans and war widows, can receive 50% off on their total fees, according to the statement.

The last date for certificate and diploma courses is June 30 and July 15 for bachelors and masters courses. To apply online, students can visit www.ignou.ac.in website.
