A variety of handlooms and handicrafts are on display at the National Handloom Expo 2013 organised by Hastakala Mahila Samiti.

Five-metal jewellery, which includes chains, bangles, anklets and earrings with stone work, as well as jute bags and wallets with printed designs were the main attractions in the fair at Vijay Mahal in K.K. Nagar.

Home décor including curtains from Haryana and cushion covers with hand and block prints are also on display. Handloom fabrics – printed silk sarees, Bandhini salwar sets and cotton kurtas from Gujarat – have been in demand, say the organisers.

An array of gift articles like Channapatna toys from Karnataka and embroidered wall hangings are also for sale. The fair will be open from 10 a.m. to 9.30 p.m. till December 22.
