Green Club conducts awareness programme

The Green Club of American College observed International Biodiversity Day and organised an awareness programme on the college premises.

The programme was inaugurated by Principal Davamani Christober.

As a part of the awareness programme, a rat snake was caught by a representative by the Nethaji Snake Trust on the college premises and released into a pond at Kadachanendal.

M. Rajesh, secretary of Green Club, spoke about poisonous and non-poisonous snakes and first-aid to be administered in the event of a snake bite. The students and faculty members undertook a pledge to protect and conserve animals.
