Engineering graduates should explore all the business potential of World Trade Organisation and Trade Related Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights (TRIPS), Rajya Sabha member E.M. Sudarasana Natchiappan, said.
Addressing the 22nd convocation of Arulmigu Kalasalingam College of Engineering near here on Saturday, Dr. Natchiappan, said that world was open for the students. He said that 153 countries could make use of their talent and the students too could use their talent to bring goods, services and product from those countries to India and vice versa.
Dr. Natchiappan asked the students to be brave enough to choose the unravelled path without looking back. The MP cautioned the graduates that the outside world would shock them with all negative emotions. Stating that understanding the world depended on their mindset, he said the society needed their knowledge for change.
The Principal, C. Thangaraj, said the college has been among the top ten colleges in Anna University for its results for the year 2008-09. The college has 25 per cent of its students from north Indian states.
A total of 626 students received their degree certificates. The college Chairman, T. Kalasalingam, secretary, K. Sridharan, T. Vasudevan, registrar, S.S. Saravana Shankar, Director (Academic), were present.
