The Governor, K. Rosaiah, will inaugurate the Vishaal de Mal on Gokhale Road here on Wednesday.
Addressing a press conference on Monday, Vishaal Promoters Chairman R. Ilankovan said that the mall was spread over 2 lakh square feet area with a two-level parking facility that could accommodate over 200 cars.
Elaborating on the Rs. 75-crore project, he said that it featured a food court, spread across 10, 000 square feet and a gaming zone, both of which would be of international standards. Besides the five Inox screens with a combined strength of 1,000 seats, the mall also hosts a 4D theatre. Children's entertainment facilities such as a bowling alley and ‘dashing cars' would also be coming up. The mall, he said, would also offer a quality shopping experience as it would feature over 200 brands. Jewellery, leather goods, boutiques, sports wear and electronic gadgets would be available at the mall.
In this time of power crisis, care has been taken to minimise energy consumption. The mall is probably among the first in the State to completely boast of energy-efficient LED lights. The Mall has also adopted the concept of ‘Green House,' which would reduce the use of air-conditioners. After the inauguration, the building would be open for the public in the evening itself.
N. Bhuvaneshari, Managing Director, K. Kalisettinaidu, consultant, K. Senthil Kumar, General Manager, S. Subramanian, Project Coordinator, were also present.
