Former ministers in court

Former DMK Ministers Thangam Thennarasu and K.K.S.S.R.Ramachandran appeared before the Special Court for Vigilance and Anti-corruption Cases here on Thursday in connection with disproportionate assets cases. They had obtained bail in these cases in February. Mr.Thennarasu and his wife T.Manimegalai were accused by the Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Wing, Virudhunagar, for allegedly being in possession of unaccounted money to the tune of Rs.75 lakh.

Mr.Ramachandran and his wife R.Aadhilakshmi were named in a charge sheet by the Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Wing officials, Virudhunagar, for allegedly having acquired wealth disproportionate to their known sources of income while Mr.Ramachandran was a minister.

Judge P.Karunanidhi adjourned the cases till June 20.
