Former AIADMK Minister dead

Former AIADMK Minister C. Durairaj died on Sunday at his native village of Perungamallur near Sedapatti in Madurai district following prolonged illness. He was elected as MLA from Sedapatti in 2001 and 2006.

He was Minister for Local Administration during the previous AIADMK regime. He was presidium chairman of AIADMK’s Madurai district (rural) unit. Chief Minister and party general secretary Jayalalithaa has expressed her condolences to the bereaved family.
