A fire broke out in a private manufacturing facility situated in K. Pudur industrial estate here on Sunday. Fire and Rescue Services Department personnel said that they received the call at around 6 a.m. and rushed three tenders to the spot. The exact cause for the fire accident in the rubber manufacturing unit, meant for automobiles, was not known immediately. There was no casualty as it was a holiday. The finished goods stored in the campus were damaged in the fire.
