Police invite short films on crimes

Madurai city police have invited students and public to participate in a short film competition on various aspects of crimes and traffic awareness. The last date of entry is November 15.

A statement said that the themes of the short films are: Cyber Crime and Cyber Security (ATM Card Fraud, Hacking), Traffic Awareness, Women and Child Safety (Women Harassment, Child abuse) and Crime Prevention (Attention Diversion, Chain Snatching).

The best videos in each category will be selected and awarded by the Commissioner of Police. Decision will be taken by a jury comprising of police officials and technical experts. The award winning videos will be used by the Madurai city police to create awareness among the members of the public.

The high definition short films in landscape mode could run for one minute to five minutes.
