Entries for the fourth edition of start-up idea contest Aarambam opens on Sunday and aspirants can submit online at www.aarambam.in .

Every year, Confederation of Indian Industry, through its Young Indians (Yi) arm and in association with Nativelead Foundation, has been organising this event with the aim of bringing out innovative ideas from students and entrepreneurs. Two years back, the organisers identified Happy Hens, which received ₹ 50 lakh from Native Angels Network, the investing arm of Nativelead Foundation.

Speaking to reporters here on Thursday, Yi Madurai chapter chair Vijaya Darshan Jeevagan said that in a competitive environment, one must do business in a smart way. Since everybody had technology at their disposal, only innovative ideas would stand out from the crowd.

Nativelead Foundation CEO Sivarajah said taht Aarambam was established to help budding entrepreneurs take their ventures to the next level and enable students to showcase their ideas to help them in their career. With India’s ranking for ‘Ease of doing business’ jumping up, entrepreneurs were expecting better participation from every sector, including start-ups, he said.
