Entrepreneurial course for Sri Lankan refugees

A three-day entrepreneurial development programme under Puduvaazhvu - III for the Sri Lankan refugees in the camps of Tuticorin and Tirunelveli districts commenced here on Friday.

Tuticorin Multipurpose Social Service Society (TMSSS) with the support of Catholic Relief Services (CRS), Chennai, has organised the programme.

Julus Pandian, an expert in electronic data processing from Kanyakumari district, will provide inputs for 60 participants from the refugee camps.

The objective is to enhance the entrepreneurial capabilities of the refugees and to transform them into successful entrepreneurs.

After the end of the training programme, OfERR, a Chennai-based voluntary organisation, will be in touch with the EDP trainees to ensure their success through assisting them in starting their business.

Rev. Fr. Victor Lobo, director of TMSSS, led the programme. A. Beschi, Manager, TMSSS, Sahayaraj, the project officer, Jesuraj, program coordinator were also present.
