Patta transfers should be done transparently: Minister
Tamil Nadu Revenue Minister K.A. Sengottayan on Wednesday said that public seeking legal heir certificates should get it without any delay.
Presiding over a review meeting at the Collector’s office here in the presence of Minister for Cooperatives ‘Sellur’ K. Raju, senior officials from the State Revenue Ministry, District Collector Anshul Mishra and MLAs from the district, the Minister said that the revenue staff had the responsibility of issuing mandatory certificates such as legal heir document swiftly.
Issuance of old age pension should be strictly to persons who were economically weak in the society. The applications seeking patta transfers should be handled in a transparent manner and delivery should be efficient.
The government schemes such as distribution of free fans, mixers, goats’ et al to beneficiaries, announced by Chief Minister Jayalalithaa should reach as and when they were received by the authorities. He thanked the staff for delivering to each and every eligible person so far in the district.
The school children should get their community certificates in their institutions itself. He urged the staff to take steps to reduce pendency of applications seeking financial assistance and also stressed the need for issuing welfare schemes to all the poor and needy without any discrepancies.
