The Madurai rural unit of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam began distribution of pamphlets against the “misrule of the AIADMK regime” on Friday. Led by the rural district secretary, P. Moorthy, party volunteers delivered pamphlets at the door steps of people at several places. While men wore black shirts, women were in black saris. Those who participated in the distribution included A. Tamilarasi, former Minister.

The DMK president M. Karunanidhi, had announced that the party members would distribute pamphlets in the place of a human chain, for which permission was denied by the police.
