Divine Life Society - Madurai and Divine Life Society, Pattamadai will jointly conduct an All State Divine Life Society Conference and the Silver Jubilee Celebration of Swami Sivananda Centenary Charitable Hospital here at Pattamadai for three days from December 14.
A statement from Divine Life Society – Madurai said Sri Ambalawana Pandara Sannathi Swamigal of Thiruvavaduthurai mutt will inaugurate the conference at 9 a.m. on December 14 in the presence of Swami Nirliptananda, vice president, All World Divine Life Society, Rishikesh and Swami Padmanabhananda, general secretary, DLS, Rishikesh.
Swami Sivananda Sundarananda Maharaj, president, DLS Madurai, Swami Swaroopananda, Editor, Imaya Geetham, Swami Akilananda, Vivekananda Ashram, Courtallam, Swami Aksharananda, secretary, Viveknanda Vidyalaya, Pannaikadu, Kodaikanal, Swami Nithya Satwananda of Dindigul, Swami Guruprakashananda, DLS, Rasipuram, Swami Ramakrishnananda of Ramakrishna Ashram, Ambasamudram and Swami Jagadeeswarananda, Chief Administrator, Swami Sivananda Centenary Charitable Hospital, Pattamadai are likely to participate along with sadhus of various ashrams.
Prof. D. K. Subramaniam, Prof. K. Gnanasambandan and Prof. M. Ramachadran will speak on the glory of Gurudev on December 14, 15 and 16 respectively. Justice V. Ramasubramaniam of Madras High Court will inaugurate the last day events of the conference.
Cultural programmes including traditional bhajans by Gopalakrishna Bhajan Mandali, Thiruvananthapuram, vocal recital by Lalitha Sambasivam of Kallaidaikurichi, naatyanjali by Temple of Fine Arts, Coimbatore, dance performances by M. Murugu Lakshmi of Tenkasi and students of Om Prasannalaya Dance and Music Academy, Madurai will be conducted on the occasion.
Scholars from Hinduism, Christianity and Islam will also address the conference on features integrating the three prominent religions.
A souvenir will be released on the last day of the conference.
