Vasan flays denial of job for Muslim youth

May 23, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:57 am IST - Madurai:

Tamil Maanila Congress (TMC) leader G. K. Vasan has condemned the denial of a job for Zeshan Ali Khan by Hare Krishna Exports because of his religion as unfortunate, unjustifiable and unwarranted.

Mr. Vasan said here on Friday that such actions should not create an impression among the minorities that there was discrimination against them in the largest democracy of the world.

The denial of employment in the name of religion would send a wrong message to the nation, he said, and wanted the Maharashtra government to nip such instances in the bud.
