Dengue awareness camp conducted at Madurai

A dengue awareness camp was organised at Chellaiah Nagar by Chellaiah Nagar- Koodal Nagar Residents’ Welfare Association on December 2. According to a release, dengue control homeopathy medicines were distributed free of cost to nearly 2,500 persons. A. Rajmohan and C. Chandran spoke.

King Optical, Similia Health Academy, and D.K. Stores helped in conducting the camp.

Another camp

2 (TN) Med Coy unit of National Cadet Corps (NCC) conducted a dengue prevention and control camp on December 4.

A pamphlet with emphasis on health education was released by Group Commander Col. Sanjay Pande at the camp. A press release said that Dr. Priya Raj, Corporation Health Officer, briefed the NCC officers on mosquito breeding and steps to be taken to control it.

Mr. Pande said that controlling the spread of dengue was everybody’s responsibility and that the cadets would spread the message by distributing pamphlets door to door.

Lt Col S.S. Muthu was present.
