Commissioner for Revenue Administration reviews works at audit meeting

State government schemes implemented by different departments discussed

An audit was undertaken for 2011 and 2012 by T.S. Sridhar, Commissioner for Revenue Administration (CRA), and Collector L. Subramanian here on Friday.

A meeting was convened at the Collectorate with officials from the revenue department and representatives from various other departments.

The works done by the City Corporation, provision of basic infrastructure and facilities were discussed and reviewed. The various State government schemes implemented by different departments were also discussed.

Marking the inspection of the infrastructure with regard to the district administration, Mr. Sridhar planted saplings on the Collectorate premises on Friday morning.

He then undertook an inspection of the departments functioning outside the Collectorate premises and examined the space allotted for the construction of new offices on the premises. The functioning of the centre for issuing Aadhar cards at Madurai North Tahsildar’s office was also inspected.

Mr. Sridhar observed that the 19 centres set up in the district for issuance of Aadhar cards were functioning effectively. As many as 52 beneficiaries were distributed sewing machines, accident compensation and insurance as well as other assistance worth Rs.10.99 lakh by Mr. Sridhar and Mr. Subramanian.
