A large number of children performed “mathru” puja at a camp conducted by the Chinmaya Devi Group and Chinmaya Yuva Kendra here on Sunday. As a part of the Chinmaya Bala Vihar, the week-long camp titled – “LEAD 2012” (Learn Eagerly Act Dynamically), the children were taught about the benefits of giving due respects to their elders/parents by performing the “mathru” puja. The camp also taught about the nuances of “how to lead a good life”.

Children staged performances displaying the benefits of being affectionate to one and all in a society, which has people from different walks. The essence of being patient, and rendering assistance to the needy were highlighted . Paramount Textile Mills Managing Director Lakshmi Murugesan was the chief guest for the valedictory function. Swami Sivayogananda presided, a press note said.
