The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) examinations for Class XII students began on Monday.
In Madurai city, the students are writing the examinations at Kendriya Vidyalaya I (Narimedu), Kendriya Vidyalaya (Thirupparankundram) and Mahatma School (Baba Building). The examinations, which began with English paper, will go on till April 8.
Flying squads have been deputed to Madurai by the CBSE and Kendriya Vidyalaya Sanghatan regional office in Chennai to prevent any malpractice during the examinations.
The CBSE Class X examinations will commence on Tuesday with science paper and the examinations will end on March 24.
C. Muthiah, Principal, KV I (Narimedu), said a lot of systematic planning was put in during the entire academic year to complete the syllabus in time and give substantial attention to revision and pre-board examinations.
“We conducted special coaching classes for all the 199 students who are appearing for the Class XII Board examinations. Since revision was done chapter wise for all subjects we are aiming for good result,” he added.
