CB-CID police get two more months to crack Ramajeyam murder case

The CB-CID Department on Wednesday filed its eighth status report before the Madras High Court Bench here on its investigation in connection with the murder of K.N. Ramajeyam, brother of former Transport Minister K.N. Nehru, in Tiruchi on March 29, 2012 and got two more months to crack the case.

Justice P. Devadass granted time till October 17 after perusing the report in which the investigating agency had sought four months on the premise that it had made headway in the probe and nearing the culprits. The report was filed in response to a petition filed by Ramajeyam’s wife R. Latha Ramajeyam in December 2014, seeking transfer of investigation to the CBI.
