Bank branch shifted

Pasumalai branch of Canara Bank was shifted to a new building at the entrance of Sourashtra College on Wednesday.

The new premises was inaugurated by R. Sampath Kumar, General Manager, in the presence of S.K. Jegannathan, secretary and correspondent of the college.

A memorandum of understanding between Sourashtra College and Canara Bank was signed on the occasion to advance education loans to deserving students to pursue their studies, according to a press release.

An ATM was also inaugurated on the premises on the occasion, the release added.
