Four Sri Lankan fishermen who strayed into Indian waters off the coast here were detained on Thursday by the Indian Coast Guard personnel.
The fishermen were stranded in mid sea after their boat developed some snag and drifted into Indian territorial waters, Coastguard Commander Harish More said in Rameswaram.
They were rescued and detained. All the four would be handed over to Police, he added.
