The services at the Apollo Speciality Hospitals resumed, said its chief executive officer V. Satyanarayana Reddy here on Thursday.

After a fire broke out on Wednesday late night in the ICCU ward, the incident was addressed swiftly and the fire that broke out was brought under control by the safety team members available round-the-clock on the hospital premises. The timely coordination between the fire and rescue services department, the city police and the district administration helped in evacuating the inpatients to neighbouring hospitals through the services of ambulances from different locations of the city.

The incident was managed commendably by the dedicated nursing team, paramedics, duty doctors and the administrative personnel.

The out-patient and other regular hospital services never got interrupted and are functioning normally. Patients can utilise the services as usual, the press release said.
