Action against HM demanded

As part of a Statewide agitation, members of All India Democratic Women Association (AIDWA) staged a demonstration near the Collectorate here on Monday demanding action against a government school headmaster in Podumbu, near here, for allegedly abusing a girl child. The demonstrators urged the State Government to immediately arrest the headmaster and shouted slogans. District president P. Devi, district secretary R. Sasikala, state executive committee member M. Rajamani, R. Preeti and among others demanded action against the accused.

State of shock

The members asserted that the parents of the victim were in a state of shock and undergoing mental agony and sought justice.
