100% pass percentage in Class 10 CBSE exams by Madurai schools

Keeping up with the trends from previous years, schools in Madurai achieved 100% pass percentage in the Class 10 examinations conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), the results of which were announced on Tuesday.

A total of 875 students from seven schools in the city said that they were satisfied with the results. Over the past many years, many students have been exhibiting high scores and achieving the cent percent pass results.

Shreya Sachindran, a student of Mahatma Montessori School (CBSE), bagged the top marks by scoring 491 out of 500.

P. Hamsapriya, Principal of Mahatma Montessori School (CBSE), said that most students had performed considerably better in Class 10 because of continuous exemplary coaching.

A total of 254 students appeared from the school with 171 boys and 83 girls.

The two Kendriya Vidyalayas in the city too had many top scorers. In Kendriya Vidyalaya, Narimedu, Principal P. Selvaraj said that a total of 167 students appeared for the exam. One student secured centum in science, he said.

Two students — V.S.V. Nila and Wasifa Ansari. F — scored 484 in the exams - making them the top scorers in their batch. In Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 2 school in Tirupparankundram, a total of 97 students wrote the exam and all of them passed.

A. Shivani with 477 marks, was the topper of her batch.

In Velammal Vidyalaya, a total of two students scored centum in Science and Social Science. A total of 158 students wrote the exam and B. Subashan secured the highest marks in the school with 478 marks.

As many as 93 students appeared and passed the Class 10 exams from Adhyapana School. T.S. Shruthi, the top scorer in her batch, got 483 marks. The school secured one centum in science.

In Maharishi Vidya Mandir, 69 students appeared and the school recorded 100% pass status. Queen Mira International School’s population of 37 recorded an all pass with the overall school average being 74%. L. Yogeswari bagged the top honours with 471 marks. Kendriya Vidyalaya, Virudhunagar, too recorded cent % results.
