Youth Congress (YC) activists laid siege to the Aluva Police Club on Thursday demanding the arrest of the real culprits behind the death of Sreejith in the custody of Varappuzha police. They also demanded an inquiry into the alleged role of Superintendent of Police A.V. George in the case.

The protesters organised under the aegis of the Aluva Assembly committee shouted slogans against the police and staged a sit-in in front of the police club.

They were arrested and removed from the spot after they stopped a vehicle emerging out of the police club.
