World Architecture Festival comes to Kochi

Kochi hosted the first-ever 16 Indian city tour of World Architecture Festival (WAF) here on Saturday with an exhibition of prize-winning buildings. The 16-city tour was inaugurated in Jaipur and entered its South India phase in Kochi.

“It will now move on to other cities in Southern India,” said Harsh Upadhyay of Greenply Industries, which has brought the exhibition to Kochi in collaboration with Hyderabad Design Forum.

WAF is described as the ‘Architecture Oscar’ and the best building and best building of the future are selected every year from about 1,200 entries from 65 countries.
