The work at the Kochi Metro’s piling site in Kaloor resumed on Friday morning. This follows talks held during the past few days to resolve the dispute between the contracting firm and construction workers’ unions. Work at the contracting firm’s casting site in Cheranalloor and subsequently at the piling site in Kaloor had been at a standstill since Tuesday following the standoff.

A lasting solution to the issue is expected to be arrived at on September 17, following a high-level meeting in which the Transport Minister Aryadan Mohammed, Labour Minister Shibu Baby John and Minister for Public Works V.K. Ebrahim Kunju will participate.
