The police have recovered the weapon allegedly used by Ratheesh, the prime accused in the hacking of a woman in a bus last month. “We recovered two swords, three daggers, and two motorcycles from near Ratheesh’s place at Malayattoor when we went to collect evidence in the case. They were recovered from a thick bush near his house,” said Aluva deputy superintendent of police V.K. Sanil Kumar.

Police said Ratheesh was an accused in 15 cases, including attempted murder. He allegedly stopped a bus on March 3 intending to attack its conductor, but accidentally hacked a woman passenger. He later surrendered before the police in another case.
