Traco Cable makes profit of ₹1.5 crore

Innovative products help the company’s turnaround

The State-owned Traco Cable has made a profit of ₹1.5 crore during the last financial year.

This is the first time in six years that the government-owned company is making a profit, said a press release here.

Traco Cable was launched in 1964 and has units at Irumpanam near Kochi; Thiruvalla and Pinarayi. It has a total of 480 employees.

The launch of products such as paper insulated conductors, UG cables and ABC cables helped the company turnaround during the last financial year, the press release said, quoting managing director Santhosh Koshy Thomas.
