The Nedumbassery Police arrested three persons on charge of trespassing on the security area at the Cochin International Airport on Friday night.

Prabhulla Chandran, Circle Inspector, arrested John Christopher Marlow, his daughter Suseela, and her Malaysian friend.

The three arrived at the airport to see off Suseela’s friend. In order to gain entry into the security area, Mr. Marlow allegedly entered their names on the photocopy of the friend’s e-ticket. They managed to enter the airport premises, but security personnel accosted them on their way out.

The police were alerted and the trio were taken into custody. During interrogation, Mr. Marlow said it was not the first time he had played the prank. He once got off with it at the Indira Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi.

Mr. Marlow was produced before the Ernakulam Judicial First Class Magistrate Court-II and remanded. The three have been charged with forgery and trespassing on the airport’s security area. Suseela and her friend, minors, were let off on condition that they appear before the court on Monday.
