Three held on charge of theft

The Fort Kochi police on Wednesday busted a three-member racket that carried out thefts during rainy seasons.

The arrested have been identified as Sharis and Peterson, both natives of Kochi and Shameer, 24 of Wayanad. While Sharis is an accused in stealing Rs.56,000 from a vehicle showroom in Bangalore, Shameer is wanted in at least three cases including a case of stealing gold ornaments of an infant from Fort Kochi. The accused were produced in a local court and remanded in custody. — Staff Reporter
