The shutdown victims


The second day of the 48-hour strike called by trade unions was a torture on foreign tourists and passengers. Though police vans came to the rescue of many a stranded passenger, there were still many left in the lurch. Many pre-paid taxi operators who stayed away from airport duty in the name of strike, operated parallel service outside, fleecing passengers.
