It was a wonderful tribute to Sachin Tendulkar and it was an impressive one too.

Indian captain M.S. Dhoni inaugurated the Tendulkar Pavilion at the Jawaharlal Nehru International Stadium here on Wednesday.

The pavilion, a joint effort of the Kerala Cricket Association and the stadium’s owner Greater Cochin Development Authority, has an impressive collection of pictures of the cricketing great who retired a few days ago. A bat signed by Tendulkar and a T-shirt of the legend signed by him are among the interesting memorabilia on display. Kochi has been a memorable venue for Tendulkar. He was at his best as a bowler here and his only two five-wicket hauls in ODIs have come at the stadium.
