The Chief Judicial Magistrate court in Ernakulam on Wednesday extended the remand period of Sunil Kumar, aka ‘Pulsar Suni, in connection with the 2011 actor abduction bid case till September 8.
The case pertains to the abduction of a Malayalam actor from the Ernakulam railway station. She was abducted when she had come to Kochi for shooting. On an alert raised by her husband, the attempt was aborted. Kumar later dropped her at a hotel.
The Judicial First Class magistrate court in Angamaly had extended the custody of Kumar and all his co-accused in February’s abduction and sexual assault case of a woman actor till September 13.
The hearing on a bail application moved by Kumar in connection with the case was completed on Wednesday. The court is set to pronounce its judgment on September 2.
High drama prevailed here on Wednesday when Kumar told media persons that Kavya Madhavan, wife of actor Dileep, was the ‘madam’ he had been referring to in his conversations. He had hinted at the involvement of a madam in the case. The Special Investigation Team, however, said it had no information on her involvement in the case.
