The Kochi city police on Saturday arrested Ajay V George, Managing Director of Star Homes, who had been absconding for the last three years after being released on bail.
The accused was arrested from Belgaum in Karnataka and is slated to be brought to Kochi by Sunday.
As per the case, Ajay had collected money from people promising apartments at Tripunithura and Aluva.
Though he had been arrested in this connection in February 2012, he was later released on bail.
Three complaints
The police have so far received three complaints against Ajay and his firm, which allegedly had taken money from people for its Star County Project Apartment in Aluva and Star Homes Annex in Tripunithura in 2007.
The projects, promised to be completed in 2008, still remain unfinished.
