The Dubai-based Emirates Airline has announced special schemes for its passengers from Kochi, enabling them to apply for the UAE visa online and various other offers as part of the summer bonanza programme.

Addressing a press conference in Kochi on Monday, Orhan Abbas, vice-president, India and Nepal, of Emirates Airline, said the company also had some offerings to complement the facility of online visa application, such as “kids go free”, “Dubai stopover” and complimentary stay for first and business class passengers.

The online visa application system, designed to make the procedure hassle-free and to save time and cost, will enable the passengers to obtain the visa by uploading the requisite documents.

At present, the airline operates 14 services a week on the Dubai-Kochi route.
