: Theruvoram, an organisation working for the people on the streets, on Tuesday took the responsibility of feeding the people on the streets left with no option to find food due to hartal called by right wing organisations.

Murugan, founder of Theruvoram, along with some of his supporters from other organisations and a couple of inmates at Theruvoram, went around the city from Kakkanad, Palarivattom, Kaloor, M.G. Road, Kadavanthra and Vyttila feeding people who have not had anything since morning.

He cooked about 35 kg of rice porridge accompanied by green lentil curry and pickle.

Some people who were caught in the midst of the hartal too had food from us, said Murugan. “We carried food for about 500 people”, he added.
