Twenty-odd students in a city school had a narrow escape, when the mini bus carrying them collided with a van on the first Goshree Bridge near the High Court on Tuesday. The accident occurred around 3.30 p.m. The van did not have any passengers. The students in the bus, who were admitted to hospitals with minor injuries, were discharged after they were administered first aid, City Traffic Police (West) said.
The mini bus, belonging to St. Mary’s School, was proceeding towards Vypeen, and collided with a van serving Sree Narayana Higher Secondary School, Ayyappankavu. The driver of the mini bus, in his attempt to avert the collision, ran over the side median and came to a halt after hitting the railings of the bridge.
