July 29, 2011 02:22 pm | Updated 02:22 pm IST - THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:

State Bank of Travancore has recruited 11 sportspersons to its football and cricket teams.

The football team, which was considerably weakened by the desertion of five of its guest players early this year, will have six new faces. Naufal (goalkeeper), Sajith and Robin Raju (defenders), Sajeer and Prasun (midfielders) and Usman (forward) are the footballers who have been picked after a selection trial and an interview.

The cricket team was strengthened by addition of five more players. Anfal, Sachin Mohan (middle order batsmen), K.R. Sreejith (left-arm spinner), C.U. Anthaf (medium-pacer) and Abhishek Mohan (all-rounder) were the cricketers selected.
