RSP having second thoughts on Kaipamangalam

April 08, 2016 12:00 am | Updated 05:44 am IST - Kochi:

The State secretariat of the Revolutionary Socialist Party (RSP) will soon take a call on whether or not to contest from the Kaipamangalam Assembly constituency, party leader N.K. Premachandran, MP, has said.

“It was not one of the six constituencies we demanded. We were made to forgo the Aroor seat, where we even finalised a candidate, as the Congress felt it did not conform to the caste equations.

“We were, instead, asked to contest Kaipamangalam,” Mr. Premachandran told the media at a face-to-face organised by the Ernakulam Press Club on Thursday.
