Polygraph test notice to be reissued

March 24, 2018 01:50 am | Updated 06:48 pm IST

The special investigation team probing the skeleton in drum case has decided to re-issue notice to Aswathy, daughter of Sakunthala whose skeleton was found in a barrel at Kumbalam, asking her to give consent before an open court to undergo polygraph test.

The development comes in the wake of Aswathy claiming that she did not receive a notice send by the police. The police team had found after a detailed probe that Shakunthala was murdered by T.M. Sajith of Eroor, who committed suicide soon after recovery of the skeleton in the barrel.

Suspicion is rife that the murder was committed by a gang based in Thiruvankulam eyeing the nearly ₹6 lakh Sakunthala had in her bank account.
